Ciane River Nature Reserve

The Ciane River is one of the rivers crossing the province of Siracusa.  Only in this natural reserve you can find real papyrus growing. It is the right place to go for quiet and solitary walks in a romantic athmosphere. The walk lasts  about 3 hours, but you can choose the boat trip too.   Frogs, butterflies, birds and beautiful trees are waiting for you.    It's a few kilometers far from Punto Zero.

Cavagrande di Cassibile Nature Reserve

A piece of heaven on earth. A canyon where you wonder what nature is able to create and admire the wonders of nature: flora, fauna, geomorphology (like the small lakes called the "Marie") and archeology (byzantine village, necropolis, the "brigands' cave").

Destination for those who love  nice walks or want   a challenging trekking.

Walking in Ortigia

Ortigia is the old town of Syracuse placed on a small island. You will be surprised fot its colors designed by 3.000 years of history. It will absolutely blow your mind. You can walk across the picturesque streets, from the Apollo's Temple to the Cathedral Square, the  Fountain of Aretus and its clear fresh water where grows papyrus,  until the Jewish Quarter and the fish and fruit market where you can take a deep breath of local life.
